Counter scope
Only AI generation endpoints increment the monthly counter. Template-based drafts and manual typing do not.
Blocking behaviour
When the counter exceeds the allowance, the server answers with HTTP 403 and a plan-limit payload the UI renders as an upgrade prompt.
Checking remaining quota
Look at the dashboard usage widget for a live summary.
Alignment with billing
Paid accounts typically reset with the subscription renewal; free accounts follow the monthly schedule configured in tier logic.
